  1. ANDREW r says:

Paul due to brexit(i assume) amazon converter makes it a touch under
£90 with shipping. Just saying and an example of what lies ahead
unfortunately. The days of shopping around like this in Europe may be ending?

  2. John Ireland says:

A great price for a great set. If you don’t have it I suggest you pounce.

    • Heinz says:

Yes, I got it for a much higher price
and I can recommend it really at this great price.
      It’s a beautiful set.

  3. justsayin' says:

they also marked down the chicago quadio box 30% (@70€)

  4. BritinDetroit says:

In this brave new world of $1 : 1.24 there is basically no difference (5 bucks) in the shipped price from Amazon UK and this offer from Italy.
Now a little more flash trading and I can empty my Amazon.uk basket and relax in to the holidays.

    • Paul Sinclair says:

It’s £89.76 shipped to the UK from Italy. It’s £101.90 plus shipping in on Amazon UK. It’s £110 including shipping in HMV in the UK. If you aren’t an Amazon Prime member in the UK then that’s at least £15 difference. If you think that represents ‘no difference’ then can I borrow £15 please ;)

      • BritinDetroit says:

Paul, might want to remove the VAT and the difference in shipping prices between the two sites….
Sitting in Detroit and thoroughly enjoying flash trading. Bargains ain’t the same in the old country and the new country

        • Paul Sinclair says:

Fair enough, shipping to US is a bit of a different ballgame :)

          • BritinDetroit says:

Yea, in general Amazon.uk charges 3 quid to ship to the USA and adds another pound for each item regardless of whether it is a box set or a single CD. So the delivery price pulls me back to the U.K. site. It is much more “efficient” to order the Bob and the ‘oo and the Kate from the U.K. and tolerate the time of delivery and risk of package damage

The rapid changes in exchange rate this week also override waiting for that “price reduction” I wait for everyday.

  5. Charles Hodgson says:

Amazon UK also provide AutoRip for this box set. Not such a big deal with a single CD, but ripping 14 CD’s for on-the-go listening is a royal pain in the arse!

(Hope AutoRip is enabled for the 36 CD Dylan Live ’66 set too, for the same reason!)

Anyhow, I’m waiting for the Alex Harvey to drop to around £5 per disc, as I have a lot of this stuff already. If it sells out so be it. My music expenditure this year has already been enormous, and the temptations keep on coming fast. And I know I’m far from the only one around here in that position. In fact it seems at times like the readers of this forum are keeping the music industry afloat single (or multi) handedly.

As far as buying from overseas, as I’m a UK resident, that is pretty much over for now. Canadians are screwed with their currency too, are they not? And New Zealand? (From checking their dollar rate to the $USD / €EUR it seems so anyway. So it seems we’re not alone, regardless of Brexit)

  6. Kevin Farrow says:

Ordered Friday on the Amazon Italian site and it was delivered this morning (Sunday) :-)
