I see that the bluray-edition is only little more expensive, but does it really have any advantage when some of the footage is vhs-quality sourced? I think I might buy this but dunno if I should go with dvd or bluray-edition?
I think that dvd would be good enough anyways.
    what would you recommend?

Turns out the blu-ray edition is also very cheap on Amazon Italy (it was when I last looked), so if there isn’t much of a price differential I’d say opt for the blu-ray. But if there is a big difference in price that’s where it’s probably not worth it. I have the DVD version for example.

Very impressed with the quality of the visual and audio side of this release, the quality of the music contained would never have been in doubt. Just wish that they would have included a Blu-Ray Audio instead of a cd, this would have made the release really special. Maybe one day the whole back catalog of the Beatles will be released onto Blu-Ray Audio with both hi-res stereo and mono. Fingers crossed

The current price for the 3cd/3dvd edition over at Amazon.it is 38,15€.

I have the 1+ BluRay set and I love it. A true feast for the eyes and ears. Its film and music by the greatest band in the world. What else does one need to know? Perfect time for it. Too early and we would of had crappy VHS cassette, wait and physical media might be gone for good and we’re stuck with itune downloads only(yuck). The package is beautiful with a hardback book.
