Deal alert / The Eagles: The Studio Albums 1972-1979 vinyl box

eagles_lp

Nice price drop on Amazon UK for this six-LP heavyweight vinyl box of The Eagles’ classic Seventies output.

Original vinyl packaging is respected, so Hotel California comes with the poster and the debut deliberately has no glue flaps (this was the original plan) so the cover folds out into a poster. The albums come housed in a slipcase with a gold foil stamp of the band’s logo.

This set was in the £90-£100 range for a long time but if you’re quick you can get it for £57 – less than a tenner per album (and the box thrown in for free!)

Albums included in this set (all 180g vinyl)

  1. Eagles
  2. Desperado
  3. On The Border
  4. One Of These Nights
  5. Hotel California
  6. The Long Run

I truly hate Amazon.com. They sell off this stuff so cheaply in UK for about $89 US, but in good ol’ USA they sell it for $145!

I just snagged it for $80 shipped to USA. Looks like it is going to be $87 then they subtract the tax. Free shiping too, but I’m Prime.

On amazon.it I paid today around 80 Euros including shipping to Germany

    Thanks for the alert!
Ordered one box set…with the postage Price to France, I paid 86 euros…this is half the price compared to the Amazon.fr price (without the postage price).
Thanks again to SDE (”such a lovely place…”) :-)

Does the vinyl box come with a digital download?

  7. Scott says:

Thanks, Paul. Unfortunately, autorip isn’t available to us Yanks when offered by AmazonUK. That’s why download codes are much preferred (as they were with the Donna Summer collection).

Just got my box set (my 2nd) and was surprised to find no number on the back. I understood this box set to be limited to 5000. My original box set is numbered, so not sure what the deal is with this one. Not to mention it showed up with the outer box creased to the point that it transferred into the long run album jacket, creasing it as well. Does anyone else know what the deal is with the numbered/not numbered editions?
