Early in the interview Leo mentioned Glasgow , last night June 9th Leo, Glasgow Pavilion, ‘nuff said ☮️☮️☮️☮️

  2. Michael McA says:

Saw him in Worthing a few weeks ago and he was tremendous. In great voice. Has always been under rated. ‘Moonlighting’ is an absolute masterpiece.

    • Jonathan says:

I saw him in Worthing 20 years ago.. in the top five gigs I’ve been to in thirty five years of gig going. The quality of a perfectoinist

  3. Carl says:

Hands up , as a kid i loved one or two of his hits then as he faded and got joked about i dismissed him , but i think is due a re-appraisal , talented guy and cool with it.
I am going digging into his catalogue to find out , i first became intrigued when i read Roger Daltrey`s autobiography where he says that Leo and his writing partner wrote the whole of his first solo album, curious.

  4. Mike the Fish says:

Another interesting interview, and Leo was very easy to listen to – and he listens to Talk Talk?! Get in! I was also fascinatated by the independent movement on the centre seat of your sofa.

  5. bruce kelso says:

what a kool guy. no ego just a kool guy, great interview paul

  6. Guy.S says:

Thank you Paul for the interview, I saw him in Portsmouth at The New Theatre Royal a Victorian auditorium designed by Charles Phipps and Frank Matcham, fantastic setting and from the off it was just hits, I couldn’t believe what he was playing in the first half and how he was going to keep the show going but I was extremely impressed, great voice, great band, the audience went banana’s, haven’t seen that reaction at a show for a long time. I would keep him on my list to see again, and his new album is great : )

  7. Stuart S says:

    Nice one Paul, enjoyed that.
Saw Leo last night in Edinburgh from the middle of the 2nd row, quality stuff! He also happily came out afterwards to sign whatever people had purchased, of which there was plenty of merch to choose from, including the recent vinyl boxes. Plenty Selfies too of course!

Tonight he’s at The Sage at Gateshead, so don’t swither and dither any longer if you’re thinking of going – go and book your ticket(s). Honestly, you’ll regret not going!

I’m even thinking about popping along to Glasgow tomorrow night now, for seconds!

  8. Michael says:

His ’78 album Thunder In My Heart was his maturing/turning point and is week worth a listen too.

  9. Gill Willetts says:

    Very interesting interview with Leo.
We saw him last Saturday, 1st June 2019 at Birmingham Town Hall and what a fantastic show he put on! His music gives so much pleasure to so many people and it’s great to meet like-minded people in the audience who find Leo such a great entertainer and so uplifting!

We first saw Leo live at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre around 35 years ago, then in recent years twice at The Robin2, Bilston, followed by 2years ago at Birmingham Town Hall and to be honest, at 70+ years young, he was again a breath of fresh air last week again at Birmingham Town Hall!!! Have always loved your songs Leo and look forward to buying “Selfie” soon.

  10. Paul Sheerin says:

Great interview. Leo is a pure gentlemen and deserves his dues. The new album is great and I very excited about his autobiography

  11. Zena Pearson says:

Love Leo. Brilliant in Guildford last weekend.
Would love to meet him again. For sure alot of people would know him shopping in Sainsburys. Thunder in my heart was always my favorite track before the days he sang it at kicks. Selfie so grows on you. My husband says the same. I have a lovely photo with Leo. As long as he tours I will be there. .

  12. John Murray says:

Although I know little of Leo’s post 70’s music, I found the video interview really interesting. Fascinating stuff. Great work Paul.

And I’ll happily accept even half of Leo’s energy and self-belief when I reach that age!

  13. Wayne C says:

One of my vivid memories as a youngster was my
Mum playing “I won’t let the Show go on” and “One Man Band” at her occasional parties or “Do’s” , seems like yesterday and it was well over 40ish years ago. Great music. Happy memories. As well as “You Make Me Feel Like Dancing” later on!. He was an always will be a class act.

    • Jarmo Keranen says:

I think the proper name of the other song is The Show Must Go On. Leo’s first two LP’s Silverbird and Just A Boy were great. What i have heard after that doesn’t impress me at all!

  14. Wendy Macdonald says:

Fantastic new music and old music my childhood of leo . His such a gentleman.
Music is so good , I recently seen Paul carrick in Edinburgh, leo is coming today I so can’t wait to see and hear him live . Leo is my teenage love. I can’t get to meet him but will see him on stage tonight . Enjoy the rest of the tour leo. Look forward to reading your autobiography.
    Xxx

Leos appearance on Celebrity Big Brother is something I will remember to the day I die….
