  1. Peter says:

What a cacophonous drum solo at the end

  2. Michael says:

Brilliant! Is this version from the “Live Killers” period? I’m asking, because Queen was doing a fast version on that ’79 tour.

  3. Rob says:

Brilliant indeed !!! Paul, do you know if this version is comming from disc 2 or disc 3 ?

  4. AnthonyC says:

I heard the usual version in the gym today so it was cool this popped up. Great version! Sounds like they are having fun and just doing it for kicks!

I’ve never been a fan of Queen but I have masses of respect for Freddie Mercury. Such a unique talent who left us way before his time.

I hope this box set gives Queen fans what they have been looking for.

  5. John says:

    Not strictly “unreleased”.
The “Fast” John Peel Session version was made available in 2002 as part of a promotion by the Sun Newspaper.

  6. William K says:

This version did show up on a Sun newspaper 4 track promo CD issued in 2002.

  7. Chris says:

Wasn’t this fast version on the Queen in Montreal DVD / Blu-Ray ?

  8. adam shaw says:

It sounds like the same as the one on Live Killers but in a studio .

  9. Wheeler98 says:

This was previously available on a King Biscuit compilation set. I used to program this track alot at a classic rock radio station in Canada…

  10. David says:

I have that King Biscuit disc from which this version came from. It will be featured on disc 2. It was recorded for their 6th and final session in october 1977. It’s a better version than the regular slow one.

  11. HalloweenJack says:

The set really should have looked exactly like this…
    http://www.queenpedia.com/index.php?title=BBC_Sessions
with Sessions 1-3 on CD1, Sessions 4-6 on CD2, and Golders Green Hippodrome, London, 13th September 1973 on the Deluxe Edition’s CD3.
Cover art is garbage as of late. When in doubt, use the crest. It’s that easy but no.

  12. gwynogue says:

The best thing about the cover art is that it doesn’t have “…and Adam Lambert.”

  13. Paul Wren says:

Sort of punky, isn’t it? Maybe a response to the punk explosion of that period. It sounds much more “vital” and the live, heavier rawness of it is a pleasure to listen to. I will be buying the vinyl box set.

  14. Michael Caspar says:

Not possible to see (and hear) the video in Germany… :(

  15. Mark Armstrong says:

    Brilliant !

Breathes new life into what is unfortunately now a massively overplayed and overfamiliar classic !

  16. TC says:

Great version of one of their classics, geeze even Queen’s demos and alternate version songs lay waste to most bands, Freddy and boys will always be missed.
