Bob Dylan Copyright Collection 2CD set now available in the UK

Live 1962 – 1966: Rare Performances From The Copyright Collections, the new Bob Dylan two-CD set SDE told you about on Tuesday, is now finally available to pre-order in the UK.

Sony are issuing this set that features previously released live recordings from 1962 – 1966 to mark Dylan’s 2018 tour of Australia. It “shines a light on some great performances that were initially overlooked, with most of the recordings now near impossible to find.”

This originally appeared to be a Japan-only release, but it seems now to be much more widely available and the price is excellent at sub-£10.

Live 1962 – 1966: Rare Performances From The Copyright Collections will be issued on 27 July 2018 (CD-only).

  1. Paul Murphy says:

Worth noting that the Japanese edition, in addition to the extra tracks, is Blu-Spec CD, and I for one love the sound of these [‘Empire Burlesque’ stands out particularly well], and while I note Paul that you ‘recommended’ not paying such a premium for this edition, it’s down to a not-too-steep £36 on Amazon pre-order as I type [13.08, 25 June].

  2. Stephen says:

    Ordered. Thanks, Paul.

Can a kind person point out which tracks overlap witth other releases? All the 1966 tracks were on the complete 66 box, for instance…

    • Bassel hassouna says:

It wad mentioned in previous post heres my understanding:
All of the 1966 were released on the 1966 live box set
All of the 1965 were offered as free downloads for people who had bought the collector edition of the cutting edge
The rest are released on different limited releases to maintain copyright

  3. Jack says:

Paul, you should mention that there is an extra track on cd2, in the Japan edition.
