Bob Dylan / Live 1962 – 1966: Rare Copyright Collections 2CD set

To tie in with Bob Dylan‘s upcoming 2018 tour of Australia, Sony are issuing a new double-CD compilation called Live 1962 – 1966: Rare Performances From The Copyright Collections.

This two-CD set consists of previously released live recordings from 1962 – 1966 and “shines a light on some great performances that were initially overlooked, with most of the recordings now near impossible to find.”

This originally appeared to be a Japan-only release, but it seems now to be much more widely available. Indeed, it’s great value, priced at around the £10 mark, or less, so definitely worth picking up.

Live 1962 – 1966: Rare Performances From The Copyright Collections will be issued on 27 July 2018 and is a CD-only set.

  3. Bobbyjean says:

£9.72 now on amazon uk and it includes a free autorip

  4. Peter Stanton says:

Keep hanging on to see if there is a UK offer, but the German deal is very tempting .
I will definitely be getting this.

  5. Michael Fortin says:

Looks interesting. I need more “live” Dylan and you can’t beat that price.

  6. Tom says:

Why is It’s Alright, Ma at City Hall, Sheffield, England double starred all by it’s lonesome??

  7. Jack Kelleher says:

The Japan edition has an extra track on CD2, Like a Rolling Stone

    • The Golden Age Of ---- --'- says:

As much as I love LARS and must already have dozens of live versions, I think an extra £17+ for one track is too much.

But why, oh why do record companies in this day and age have uniform album releases worldwide? Oh yes, I forgot, to rip us off.

  8. Kevin says:

Good news! This is great to see a copyright release get an affordable CD release. I had seen this on iTunes, fully expecting it to be the only purchase point. Was pleasantly suprised to see this show up.

  9. The Golden Age Of _ _ _ _ _ _ ` _ says:

That`s saved me £17 plus a possible £14 Customs & Post Office charges.

I ordered from CD Japan and have managed to cancel my order.

Thanks Paul, you see people this site can save you money also!

  10. Adrian says:

Paul, will you start adding Australian amazon prices here? You have a lot of Australian music buyers who use your site

    • Paul Sinclair says:

Will try to do that, yes.

      • Alan Blevin says:

Your issue in doing this is that Amazon.com.au often has no listing for titles before release date. For example as of yesterday there was no listing for next weeks cd releases of Welcome To The Blackout or Florence And The Machine.
Also beware the dreaded “available in 4-5 weeks” which seems to be common among new releases even if they are out locally.
In other Amazon.com.au they have launched Prime but here it means you will probably get it in a few days which is different to Prime elsewhere.Only 10 days to an Amazon free life.

    • Graham says:

It would be very interesting to see the Australian prices in UK pounds. It could show the world how much of a rip off prices are in Australia. I generally don’t buy new releases in Australia unless they are discounted.

    • Mylene says:

      $19.99 at JB lofi

  11. Bassel says:

Does anybody know where these release were initially found on?

  12. Ben Williams says:

Great release! Very nice and look forward to this one. Especially the first disc!
