Elbow are to issue a limited edition box set of all their albums to date, on seven heavyweight vinyl double gatefold LPs on 26 November 2012.
As a bonus, this set will ship with a USB stick holding all seven albums as high resolution WAV files.

2. Cast of Thousands – currently out of press on vinyl, and first time it will be available as a double gatefold

6. Dead In The Boot
7. Live at Abbey Road – previously only available as a CD release and not available outside of this box set.

Hi-res WAV files included in a vinyl boxset…now why don’t more acts/labels do this? Great idea.
Great box set – got it a couple of days ago – but sadly the “high res WAV” is cd-quality, so only high-res compared to mp3…a little misleading in my book…
That is too bad – if I had know that I would not have ordered. Onto eBay it goes…
What are the chances of the orchestral live lp being available separately, do you think?
