I’ll get this one. But I’m still waiting for the Meddle and AHM boxsets!

    • Darrell Conley says:

I do not believe The Wall Immersion Box Set has the Blu-ray audio disc with 5.1 PCM 24 bit / 96Khz. Dark Side of the Moon & Wish You Were Here Immersion Box Sets have the Blu-ray audio disc with 5.1 PCM 24 bit / 96Khz and they are the best sounding versions I have ever heard of these recordings. With sagging sales in the CD market, I believe that Remastering CD’s onto Blu-ray audio disc with 5.1 PCM 24 bit / 96Khz would boost sagging sales. One more detail, people would have to buy the disc on Blu-ray because there is no way they would be able to steal it on the Internet.

  2. Less a deluxe edition, more an endurance test…

  3. Hedley says:

Looks like the Experience edition ( again)

  4. Gary Thompson says:

If only! I would certainly buy this!

  5. I really may not get this, I know this is packaged well, includes a remastered version of the live concerts from “The Wall” tour, remastered and (remixed) Wall band/Roger Waters demoes and has some videos, I have to say this Super Deluxe set is Good, but not Great.

I really wish EMI or James Guthrie or Nick or whoever looks over the Pink Floyd Immersion Box Sets would stop making these releases “generic”.
I mean I understand mastering the album, having demoes and some videos, but I’m disappointed that they left off:
    1. THE STUDIO VERSION OF “WHAT SHALL WE DO NOW?” You *can’t* leave that off here for this box set or the “Experience” edition!
    2. The Italian Single Mix of “Young Lust”, having an extended intro and no phone noises at the end, the “Collection of Great Dance Songs” version of “Another Brick In The Wall (Part 2)” with a different intro, and the “Off The Wall” promo mix of “Run Like Hell” with a little more guitar, are each left off.
    3. No alternate mixes of “The Wall” songs, not even film mixes of “The Thin Ice” or “Another Brick In The Wall (Part 2)”.

I also wonder that despite a news alert going out about releasing a “5.1 Stereo Mix” of “The Wall” by James Guthrie, that it would be included at the last minute for this “Immersion” Pink Floyd box set, guess not, not even one blu ray including all of the high audio and videos!?!?

Still this reissue looks fine, if too liberal, I mean still the marbles, scarfe? Why not reissue the 2011 remaster of the live Wall album SEPARATELY, I mean “The Wall” was an excellent album, not so “FANTASTIC” like “Dark Side..” or “Wish You Were Here” to gain extra discs over others. I am excited about hearing “Sexual Revolution”! Just my two cents..

    • So all in all, this looks good, but I wish no party of the Pink Floyd band or from EMI or Capitol is too “touchy” about including extra material or waiting ’till another treasure can be added like a 5.1 Mix of “The Wall” or even a little of alternate mixes.

  6. wardo says:

Each of the “demo discs” are separated into “programmes”, which has me wondering if that means the individual excerpts can only be heard in chunks. In other words, does disc 5 have 41 tracks or 3?

    • Paul Sinclair says:

That could be a good call…. Abba did this years ago on their Thank You For The Music box set. The “Abba Undeleted” track was 20 minutes of mashed up bits of demos and studio banter and early versions of songs all in one track.

    • Richard van Oosterhout says:

A couple of months ago I saw a site where one could order this box set and they had seperate mp3 file’s per song title (not per programme) with small clips (duration about one minute).

Therefor I think that we get lots of different ‘cd-tracks’ instead of just a couple of programs into one cd-track.

      Just my five cents…

  8. Graham Yapp says:

Does anyone know for sure that there will be ‘Meddle’ or ‘Atom’ box sets, just seems strange that it’s never been mentioned?

    • Paul Sinclair says:

Nothing announced. Once The Wall is released in Immersion form they have completed what was first announced back in May last year.
