  1. Glenn says:

Belly band not included on the copy I ordered from Amazon US.

  2. Michael says:

I got the 2 cd set, and I think the remaster sounds quite good. I got the last vinyl remaster a couple of times and it skipped randomly, so I gave up on that after returns. As for this set, other than the remaster, the demos are pretty disappointing. Not very nice. The booklet is bare bones, too. I do like the remaster, though, so I am content to keep it.

  3. Neil Jones says:

Nothing will beat my cherished original vinyl album. It’s green and it’s pink and full of memories! Still might get it for the live album though :)

  4. Scott says:

The reason the credits say “mastered” instead of “remastered” was explained to me first hand that having the word “remastered” on a Warners release would invoke additional involvements and steps to release the product. Thus it’s a matter of avoiding the word altogether. It’s very possible that I may need to modify my label name on the titles I’m trying to license from Warners because “remasters” is part of the label name, but that has yet to be confirmed.

  5. Daniel says:

Thanks! I enjoyed seeing that you save the outer stickers. I do that too. LOL!

  6. paolo says:

All in all is a pretty good reissue, but I’ll stick to my 1993 WEA CD. I think the 2011 remaster was already pretty good, so this seems to be targeted to completists and hardcore fans only.

  7. Chris Squires says:

Vienna, Jimmy White, Gilles Villeneuve, Johan Cruyff, Last Christmas, Tottenham Hotspur, Hilary Clinton.

It’s good, great even, but not quite there. There something missing to help it get over the line. Would it have killed them to put together a few current interviews, to put *Some* notes in there about recording conditions, takes and ideas that changed the course of things. TQID SDE was an open goal and somehow I feel they hit the post.

The SDE that, IMHO, will stand the test of time is When Slade Ruled the World, why can’t companies just look at that and learn.

  8. David Bricknell says:

Very happy to confirm that sonically this is the best TQID has ever sounded by a long way. Really incredible; literally jumps out of a good system. I like the packaging too, although I’m sure some will deplore the artistic revisionism of changing the cover image (only slightly, only slightly than you’re used to)….apologies for that; couldn’t help myself…some will probably miss the green and pink though as well. The booklet’s fading Big Ben images are also wordlessly clearly making a point consistent with Morrissey’s view of a diminishing England, so all very in context and classily presented.

I suspect Craig Gannon will be pretty pissed off though. Plays on the live album, yet his name appears nowhere.

  9. Stephen Hofmann says:

    You think initially it’s a good package….but it’s a bit of a cock up. As with nearly every Smiths/Morrissey re-issue. A joke.

  10. Mike Melody says:

There’s a bit of sloppy editing on the The Queen is Dead Derek Jarman Film. A second of presumably Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others cuts in and out after There Is A Light That Never Goes Out
