Why am I always late :(

  2. AlexKx says:

Is there anything unique to these songs as in them being different versions from what is already on their l.p.s?

    • Ian B says:

Not as far as I can tell, but that’s from a semi-obsessive fascination with the ‘Oo/Pete Townshend, rather than actually buying this set. I own most of these songs on more or less conventional CD releases by the band. I love The Who, but let’s face it, cash cow renditions of songs from 80s/90s/00s/10s tours plus the odd new track lamped on the end of yet another compilation are hardly essential purchases. Townshend more or less admitted in ‘Who I Am’ that The Who, post-Moon, were a money tap to be somewhat reluctantly turned on when he needed a new house or mixing desk.

I bought all 4 of The Who`s singles box sets and the REM one also.

Thing is I don`t know why, I won`t play them, nice to look at, yeah, but all they do is take up room.

I think I must have been suffering from a heavy bout of vinylitus that week.
