← SDE Berlin Diary: Day One
Looked around a few seconds worried that there were no Jethro Tull books – then I spotted them :D
Those Bowie sets sure look small when compared to some of the other stuff!
Sorry, no it isn’t. Need to get my eyes tested!! I thought you meant the black and yellow box on the bottom shelf. Just seen the item one shelf up but have no idea what it is. Off now to Specsavers!!
Thanks Paul. Does anyone know what the Yellow Submarine item is on the left lower area of the product wall?
I think the ‘Yellow Submarine’ item in the photo is actually the U2: iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Live In Paris Super Deluxe box set laid on its side.
It’s a LEGO Yellow Submarine set!
That box set shelf reminds me of a similar set-up in my local indie store; heck, let’s give them a name check, David’s Music in Letchworth, Herts. It might be slightly smaller but it too is crammed with box sets of all shapes and sizes.
A really great shop with terrifically friendly staff who really know their stuff, loads of great vinyl, plus a second-hand section and they even managed to cram a small coffee shop in as well. Well worth a visit if you are in the area. Open seven days a week!
This Simon F (from Luton) was there today, visit regularly and can confirm the delights of David’s in Letchworth – can add they have a decent music books section and a little box of cd promo’s always worth delving into. Proper record shop!
