  1. Jorje Chica says:

Still no estimated delivery date from Amazon US for the Gene vinyl box. Hopefully it will not be delayed once more.

  2. Brian Scott says:

My copy of True Colors arrived today from the SDE shop, colour is definitely more orange than the golden yellow shown in the photo, but the quality of the pressing is excellent. Such a great album so relieved the mastering sounds so impressive

Thanks again Paul. Grateful for all your hard work with the site and the shop

  3. CJ Feeney says:

The Killers “Imploding The Mirage” album is finally released this week. My copy is awaiting me at my local store (along with my red and blue Bright Eyes LP).

  4. Larry Davis says:

Getting the Gene, happy they are able to send, but 4 key releases out Friday not mentioned…new 3rd album by excellent Nashville female-fronted punk band Bully, called “SugarEgg” (2nd on Sub Pop), new 12th album by Texas alt-country/powerpop/punk band Old 97s, fittingly titled “Twelfth”, new album by alt-country and traditionalist Mandy Barnett & new album with new lineup by Jefferson Starship (with song contributions by both Grace Slick & the late Marty Balin)…interesting release week…and finally got my Lickerish Quartet EP today…see how it matches up to the Jellyfish catalogue…

  5. Aaron says:

I see Sigue Sigue Sputnik’s Flaunt It will be out as a 4 disc set in October!

  6. Paul E. says:

Thanks for the Snow Patrol news – wasn’t aware of this release and not at all surprised that Amazon US shows it as “unavailable” (they rank at the very bottom when it comes to making releases available). Ordered by way of Universal Music this morning and appreciate the heads up Paul.

  7. Mark says:

“Rid of Me” is a superbly recorded and engineered album that captures the unique vitality of the original trio better than any other Harvey release. Nearly 30 years later, PJ Harvey remain the best live rock band I’ve ever seen.

If you’ve not heard it, buy it.

  8. Karen says:

Dry interesting article about Cherry Red and music in BBC news

It seems October/November hopefully will be busy of new releases

    • Caroline says:

Good to see a shout-out for The Residents in that article. Cherry Red have already announced the next entry in the “pREServed” series – a 7 CD edition of “Cube E” for October coming in at a purse/wallet friendly £29.99. Hopefully there will be something from the Fall Sound Archive in the Autumn too.
