Regarding Taylor Swift, there are 8 different covers (cuz it’s album #8), 7 of them special editions with bonus track “The Lakes”, and the vinyl editions 2LP each with it’s own unique colour vinyl…and only available on her website for 1 week, now long over…talk about marketing!! Sold 1.3 million copies in 24 hours supposedly…I bought 2 of them with a T-shirt to save on the shipping…
Hi Paul,
The McCartney booklet came through the letterbox (actually the window) this lunch time, and it looks fantastic. I’ve read some chunks of if in the last hour, and it will provide reading pleasure in the coming days.
The illustrations really add to it – the Wild Life illustration is my favourite. Each booklet improves on the last – good luck in maintaining that trajectory in quality. Imagine how many copies of a future booklet you could sell if you managed to negotiate an exclusive track from a top artists archive (easier said than done!) and sell them together; as you have done with the physical releases of Bronski Beat and Mansun?
Regards,
I’ve pre-ordered Folklore CD. First Taylor Swift album i’ve bought.
Beautiful video for her single Cardigan.
The Stooges ‘Live at Goose Lake: August 8th 1970’ is also released this week through Third Man Records. Amazing archive find!
Mary Chapin Carpenter “The Dirt And The Stars” is also out on Friday. First album of new material since 2016.
