3CD+DVD box set • Limited edition 2LP yellow vinyl
Cherry Red are reissuing The Feeling‘s 2006 debut album Twelve Stops And Home for its twelfth anniversary in June. It will be available as a four-disc box set and a limited edition coloured double vinyl.
The album has thus far sold almost a million copies in the UK and features three top ten hits: Sewn, Fill My Little World and Never Be Lonely.
The 3CD+DVD reissue comes as a ‘digi-book’ edition. The first CD features newly remastered audio of the album, while the second disc, dubbed ‘the ones that got away’, includes songs that were B-sides, some that would feature on future albums and some that were never released. The band consider some of these songs “among our best work”.
The third CD includes original demos, more unreleased songs, and various “remixes and jams” from back then. According to the group “some of these demos were simply remixed for the final album and others had a lot more work done before they were finished.”
The DVD features a documentary The Feeling On Ice telling the early story of the band as narrated by fan Kiefer Sutherland. It includes performances in the Alps of Sewn, Never Be Lonely and Love It When You Call. Chris Salmon has written sleeve-notes to accompany the deluxe packaging.
The remastered album is also appearing as a double vinyl LP for the first time (originally it was pressed onto one record). This is actually a limited edition YELLOW 2LP.
Twelve Stops And Home will be reissued on 29 June 2018

I guess i could just check them out on Napster, Spotify or the likes but as i have never heard of them so far i’m curious if anyone here can give me a comparison for their music so i can decide whether to bother or not?
If you’re unsure, just pick up the standard release for not much more than a couple of quid.

I can’t vouch for the quality of their music – I’ve heard of them but not their music.
If you dig powerpop in the Jellyfish mold, the Feeling will be in your wheelhouse…Squeeze too…
If you dig highly melodic, keyboard heavy powerpop in the mold of Jellyfish or English pop like Squeeze, you must investigate pronto…
Classy, easy listening adult pop. Well crafted, great harmonies and a touch of 70’s vibe on some songs to my ears.
Thank you all for your input. As i really like Squeeze (another in Germany almost unknown band) i think i’ll stream some of their stuff and decide then if i need some CDs too.
If you like watching paint dry, then The Feeling will be right up your alley
12th anniversary! Maybe it’s important… last year of being a child before undergoing a horrible ‘Kevin the Teenager’ type mutation.
C’mon guys, “twelve” stops, “twelfth” anniversary…
Thrilled to see this, convinced I’m the only person in the USA who has all their albums. (And singles. And deluxe editions.) The DVD sounds like a cutdown version of their 2008 release “The Feeling Come Home”. That ran over three hours, with a full concert from London, three tracks from the Alps, and the Feeling On Ice documentary, plus a bunch of extras. Had heard they were on hiatus for a few years; hopefully this is the end of that, and new music will follow.
Only really liked Sewn buy for £21 on vinyl worth a pop
A terrific album and as most have already commented they have never come close to bettering it unfortunately. Same Old Stuff is just a brilliant pop song. Vinyl ordered and just need to make a final decision on whether I really need to spend my hard earned on the CD/DVD Box set ;-).
Personally I think it’s kind of funny that they’re using the title of the album to celebrate the 12th anniversary.
The only thing they did I ever liked was the piano-only version of Rosé, and that looks like it’s been left out.
great news. have preordered the cd set but where does it says its signed pl?
Signed Boxsets are available here michelle:-

Question…if you preordered the signed version, do they collect funds immediately, or are they like Amazon, not collecting till dispatch (which I much prefer)??
Fairly sure Cherry Red take the money upfront.
OK great, I will keep track of the count, how many are left…they tell you…and when it gets down to 10 or below, I will pounce…I prefer preorders, but as they collect upfront, I don’t want to pay earlier than need-be…as it’s coming out end of June…and I don’t want to miss out either…so I will watch the countdown, thanks Paul…
thanks auntie sabrina
Great news! Pre-orders of both versions are signed while stock lasts.
You need to order from their official website to get the signed version.
Twelfth anniversary. Yeah, I saw what they did there! Great band and great album which they have never managed to top. Join With Us got close but everything else has pretty much been a bland-fest until their eponymous fifth from a couple of years back. This is one of those albums that could have had any song lifted for a single release – a quintessentially perfect pop/rock album. Saw them support ELO in 2016 and they knock out a good live set, too. This will be purchased… as endorsed by Jack Bauer!!!
Yeah…forgot how much I enjoyed this band and album…very powerpop/Jellyfish…then follow-ups were denied US releases, so I lost track…I don’t think this 12th anniversary was meant to be desperate, but a deluxe playing up the album title…12 stops and home…like haha cute…will be ordering this and the rest of their catalogue, as my interest was just renewed…
pre-ordered the vinyl from amazon. its a shame they didn’t spread it over 3 sides and put some b-sides on side 4. this and the 2nd album were by far the best they released to date
cherryred.co.uk have the 3CD/DVD at £24.99 plus p and p. The vinyl is cheaper at Amazon though. Can’t believe this was out 12 years ago, I feel soo old…
Excellent. I bought the orginal CD when it came out and sill have it and always loved it. Will be lookign forward to this, pre-ordered this minute!
So we’re celebrating 12th anniversaries now? Much as I like this record a 4 disc special edition seems a bit OTT. A remaster with a contemporary live disc would make more sense. I saw them on the tour to support the album and they put on a good show.
Bothering to mention the 12th anniversary does seem a bit desperate.
I thought the aim of Cherry Red was to release stuff that’s been long out of print or has never been on CD before instead of things like this which can easily be picked up for a penny on Amazon.
Great band live, but there records always seemed a little safe in comparison.
I’m out for this one thanks.
Remastered ? Has technology improved since the first try ? And what sort of anniversary is the 12th !
TWELVE Stops and then Home
Decent release. Slight disappointment that they did not through in all the content from the original ‘On Ice’ standalone DVD release, because that includes a really very good small London concert. Signed copies on Cherry red website.
Unfortunately it misses one B-side called “Do You Want It?”, only released on a 7″. Not that great of a song, but for completeness’ sake I would have liked to have it on CD…
“Do You Want It” is included, but as a hidden track with “One Thing That I Want” for some reason.
So 12th anniversary is a thing now?
Cherry Red are currently offering limited edition signed copies of the CD/DVD set to pre-order on their site for £19.99…….sorted!!
